Highwood Day Nursery is an established nursery school, and baby unit, giving all aspects of care related to the full social and educational development of the child, offering a wide variety of activities to encourage the children to their full potential. There is a large garden at the rear providing many opportunities for outdoor play and nature study.

For the younger child, staff have developed a full and varied day to provide different stimulating activities and play in a structured environment.

For the older child the Nursery school incorporates basic education and interesting practical activities to encourage educational and social skills on an individual basis, allowing for any special needs of the children – in line with OfSTED and the National Curriculum.

For all the children a 'Key- worker' scheme is in operation, whereby a named member of staff is responsible for a particular child. Your child will be allocated a key-worker during the induction.

For the school child, a collection service to and from the local schools is available as well as a school club during the holidays.
